Summer Term 2022 ~

How does Kenya compare with where I live?

Miss Beavan  - Class Teacher

Ms Moses and Mrs Nicol - Teaching Assistant

In Maths we are going to be exploring multiplication and division. We are going to be thinking about all the different ways we use our 2's, 5's and 10's times table to group and share. We will then be looking at quarters and halves in fractions.

In English we will continue to practice our Read Write Inc sounds daily. We will start the term exploring a book called 'The Little Red Hen'. After, we will be developing our writing skills further with a writing sequence based on the book 'How to hide a lion at school'.

For this term's Geography, we will first we exploring the enquiry question 'Why don't penguins need to fly?'. In which we will be exploring key geographical features of different continents. We will then be moving on to exploring Kenya and comparing its geography to England.

In Science we will be real scientists; developing our scientific enquiry skills by asking questions, performing simple tests as well as observing and recording to help us answer the questions. These will be based around our Science topic of Animals and Humans.

PE is on Wednesday. Please wear PE kit to school ready for the afternoon.

If you have any questions or queries please use Class Dojo to contact us. We endeavor to get back to you as soon as possible.

Many thanks,

Miss Beavan
