Targets
All children are given a reading and math’s target in autumn term 1. These will be discussed with the children and should be worked on both in school and at home. The targets are assessed at the end of each term and if your child has achieved their target they will be awarded a certificate in assembly.
The Reading Targets
The reading ability of children in Y1-Y6 is tested every September by using a standardised test that provides information about a child’s reading age as opposed to their chronological age. Using this information some children are targetted as requiring additional support. These children are tested again the following February. Their improvements are shared with parents.

The Math’s Targets
Each class will be given a set of photocopied Math’s games based on Multiplication tables these can be sent home as homework tasks.
