Board of Governors

The governors meet four times a year at Full Governing Body meetings and then each committee meets in the autumn, spring and summer terms. Minutes of these meetings are displayed in the school entrance area and can be read here. These meetings are ‘open’ however visitors will not be able to vote and will be asked to leave when confidential Part 2 matters are discussed.

As from September 2008 we will have four committees: Finance, Sites, Personnel and Curriculum. Each governor usually sits on two committees.

Each governor has responsibility for a curriculum area and has also been linked to a class. The governor follows their classes throughout their schooling or until the end of their term if office. Governors are expected to meet with their subject leader and visit the school on at least two occasions throughout the school year. Governors also attend assemblies, PTFA and school events.
